Ok If I get a 3" catback, I cant put it on with the stock converter correct? So do I have to find a 2.25" inlet with a 3" outlet converter? If this is the case who in the world makes one and where can I get it. Thanks for your help guys, I appriciate it.

The catbacks I have seen are made to work with the stock exhaust system at the converter(s). Even my 3 1/2" Mufflex catback came necked down to fit the stock pipe at the converters. Needless to say the necked down portion is history and I'm 3 1/2" all the way. Hehehehehe.

I'm running dual 2 1/2" cats and have a Flowmaster 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" Y-Pipe after the cats. If you are running a single cat I would upgrade to a 3 " cat if your car does not already have one.

I would also seriously consider replacing the factory Y-Pipe if you have not already done so. Horsepower is to be gained by this mod alone.

Well I planned on getting a 3" catback on there and then after I got mor money, put on the Edelbrock headers and Y-pipe. I know I will need a 3" in/out on the converter with the full 3" exhaust. I just wanted to know what to do to hold me off with just the catback until then. Your saying I can run the 3" catback into the stock converter?

If you still have the stock system them most likely the new 3" system will bolt right on. You can call the manufacturor for the glory details just to make sure.

Ok thanks man, that would be cool. I am going to have to get a new cat for when I get the edelbrock headers and 3" Y-pipe right? If not for sure, then it would probably be a good idea. Thanks though man.
