"Chambered" and Tailpipe Question

In planning my true-dual setup, I had originally hoped to stuff a pair of Super-40's under my Formula. I made a couple cardboard templates so that I could see how they would fit......they didn't fit. I do not want them hanging down at the rear of mycar so I'm looking for another option. I saw the Summit catalog had the smooth and chambered long tube muff's like Willie has. I heard his sound clip but I'd like to find some more. I've tried exhaustclips.com and the oft-recommended search function. Anyone know where else I can find some examples of these style muff's?

Next is, if should I go with those muffs, they will probably be hooked up to a pair of over-the-axle pipes (one on each side). At around 30", they will be pretty close to the back edge of my car. That's fine, I run 3" stainless tailpipes now. So....is there any reason I need to run any kind of pipe/tip aft of the muff? (other than cosmetic)

I had this all planned out on paper, then I got under the car and found out I only knew 1/2 the story.........Eric

Thinking true-dual again, if I had two of the Summit smooth tube muffs (as part of a full 2 1/2" system) as the last thing my exhaust would see before it joins the atmosphere, should I keep it as 2 1/2" or could I go 3"? I mean would it hurt the flow or could it even help the sound quality?

Also, I can't find any sound clips of the smooth muffs. Anyone have any idea of "loud and louder" (as the Summit advertising says)......of the difference in the sound quality and flow charastics between the Summit chambered and Summit smooth/long tube muffs?

i'm thinking of similar mufflers...i talked to the sales/tech ppl at sweet thunder chambered and tubed mufflers.

they say the chambered are louder than the smooth tubes but both seem to flow about the same. alot of the ppl ordering them are using the 18 and 24inch versions. i might go a single 18 to see how that is since i'm running a single 3inch exhaust right now from flowmaster
