V6 to V8 exhaust question

the v6 exhaust in my camaro is pretty much new and i cant run open headers so i was wondering if there was a way to keep the stock exhaust with a V8? maybe trimming the pipes or something
anyone have any ideas?

The stock six cylinder exhaust is the same as the V8, but a smaller pipe as used with the non-performance V8 engines. The only fit up problem is the size of the bell behind the converter. Should be an easy install as long as you're using third gen exhaust parts for the V8 install.

so i should be able to use it if i use third gen headers?
