Does this sound like a good idea?

I want an inexpensive exhaust system for my 305 which I plan on swapping out for a 350 possibility. What do you guys think of getting a pair of Edelbrock TES headers, having an exhaust shop bending me up a 3" exhaust and into a single 80 series Flowmaster. I dont have cats so I will have to extend it a little. I figure it would be pretty cheap, $400 for headers, $100 for the flowmaster, and $150 for the bending and installation. Any ideas or better choices?

It will work, however I recommend you just buy the Y-pipe unless you want it custom for some reason.

The TES headers supposedly come with a good Y pipe with a 3" exit. 2.5" from the headers into a single 3", into the 80 series muffler and dual 2.5" exits.
