Secondary Pipe Question
Let's say I have a 355CI motor making 450 horsepower. I have 1 3/4" headers with a 3" collector. The car has dual cats.
What size secondary pipe should be run between the 3" collector and the cats? If a pipe smaller than the 3" collector is used should the smaller pipe hook up right at the collector or should a 3" pipe be run for a little ways before necking down?
To me, it would seem that a choke point would be created at the collector if a 2 1/2" pipe is hooked up right at the 3" collector of the header.
