New 1 3/4 long tube option inside

i just emailed stainless works about making us some new long tubes. in case you dont know who stainless works is, they are the makers on teh long tubes for ls1 swaps that Hawks sells at the top of this page. they are a 1 3/4 primary 3 inch collector long tube that has an option for a bolt on y pipe (NOTE that its NOT weld together like mufflex). they were also designed on a lowered car (according to Hawks) and according to Hawks does NOT kill ground clearence.

heres the problem, the hakws long tubes by themselves run about 750 which is VERY competitive with 4th gen pricing anyways so thats not outrageous. a coated hooker setup can run close to that. with y pipe its another 3-400. yes this is expensive but to me its worth it for all out performance, ease of install, durability (they are made of stainless so no rusting) AND can be used with a lowered car as well as a t56.

ill keep everyone up to date on this and maybe we can get a new option for long tubes.

Sounds interesting, but it's not always the headers that limit ground clearance with long tubes, it's routing the rest of the exhaust system around the frame rails and transmission crossmember.
