a weird A.I.R. question.
what exactly does the AIR pump put out? air? is it dirty air? basically, what i guess i'm getting at, if i notice that a few people have bags on their car. could you use that AIR pump instead of buying a compressor? just a thought.

The Air Injection Reactor pump pumps fresh air into the exhaust manifolds during open loop operation (and certain limited closed loop operations) and to the catalytic converter during closed loop operation. Its purpose is to provide additional oxygen to the exhaust gases to help reduce emissions.
It does not produce enough pressure to do anything for air bags. If you want one of those, look for a compressor from a car factory equiped with rear air assist shocks (have one on my '90 Bonneville SSE, for instance).
