I've got long tubes, no cats and a magnaflow. I'll try to get a sound clip ASAP.

Basically it sounds like your grandpa's old '69 camaro with a hi-po 350 in it A.K.A. BADASS!

PS. did anyone ever find out if the intermediate pipe was needed to be modified as far as the hanger in order to fit well on thirdgens?

Can anyone tell me how they modded their intermediate pipe hanger? The tail pipes I can hang with 360 swingers, but I'm not sure about the intermediate pipe. Thanks

How do you guys think this exhaust would sound on my carbed 400 small block (Mild port work to chevy casting 882 heads and an edelbrock cam)? I'm running hooker shortys and hooker y pipe.

So which one fits better??? the one for the LT1 or the LS1??? Is there any major difference or advantage between the two systems? Im only asking because Im putting this on my LS1 swap TA.... So if the flow of the LS1 system is set up to maximize sound and power for the LS1...Ide probably lean towards that system. Magnaflow's site doesnt really get into the difference. The pictures dont really show too much difference.

Both are 3" in and 2.5" out... Anyone know what the difference is??

The LT1 setup looks like a crossflow muffler, whereas the LS1 setup looks like a straight through flow muffler like the SLP 2otl muffler.

Will the Magnaflow system be louder than a Hooker Super Comp. Catback?

you need to do a few things.
I am not using that "S" pipe that comes with the kit.
I am buying a 45* bend and some straight tubing. I am also not using a CAT so... but either way you would need a little tubing I bet.
As far as the I pipe hanger itself, I am using one of those hangar L brackets that comes with those universal hangars that use put the tube clamp over.
That will let one bolt (at least) to bolt to the cat hangar bracket.

What about the hanger on the pipe that connects the i-pipe to the muffler, the one that goes over the axle. The pipe I got from magnaflow only has a flat brcket on it? How do you think I should mount this pipe? Use a 360 swinger universal hanger and bolt it where the original pipe hanger was, or should I try to fab something that would attach to the orginal rubber hanger thats on the passenger side? This hanger pretty much supports the whole muffler so I want to do it right. Thanks.

PS again pics would be great.

I have attached a picture of the pipe I'm talking about. The end shown furthest away to the right attaches to the i-pipe, the end closest attaches to the muffler.

They're both crossflows. However if I look in one end I can see out the other.. they're very unrestrictive.

Well it fianlly stopped raining here in NY so I got a chance to test fit my Magnaflow 15620. After taking a look at some Walker diagrams for the 4th gen, I realized that you can uses Walker part no. 36398 to mount the over the axle pipe to the stock location on your camaro/firebird. The bracket costs 9.00 and will probably have to be special ordered. I just thought that this might help some people out.
