What is this header piece?

What is this header piece?

(3) of these came with my hooker 2055 headers...do i need them for anything?...what are they?

those are spacers for accessory brackets so you can still bolt them to the exhuast manifold bolts. things like p/s, a/c, etc. looks like since you have an 88, you probably have a serp. setup though and probably won't need those...unless you can use it for space for the oil dipstick too...which you'll probably need.

Ok, Thanks for that info!...looks like i might need it for my dipstick...I won't have to worry about accessory brackets, so thats good.
