I was shopping on summit for catback setups. The hooker comp. catback (part # 16823HKR) is 270. Its 3". When pricing the dynomax pieces (2 i pipe pieces, muffler, tail pipes), I think it was cheaper to just get the hooker catback kit. The hooker kit includes chrome tips.

Ah, the bullet
. I wanted to do that but it would be a bit much for a daily driver. What headers did you go with?

ive actually been looking at doing this set up for a little while.(bunch of summer mods and no money for the catback). if you go through with it i'd like to hear a sound clip and see how everything worked out.

I did a mix and match cat back and only spent about $200. I ordered a "Vortex" cat back system made by Arvin that is available through AutoZone (mid pipe was $40 and the two tail pipes were $18 a piece) and I ordered a Flowmaster 80 series ($102). instead of the muffler that came with the Vortex system. All the pipes are 2.5" mandrel bent with stainless steel band clamps holding everything together. The car sounds great and I basically have a Flowmaster system for half the money.
