my hedman flowmaster install experience

well the first mod i decided to do is exhaust, and like all modifications we all incounter problems, i'm just writting this thread to post my experience installing my exhaust, i'm sure alot of info im gonna write in this post was already been said but u never know when someone will think of something to help another

the cat back, cat and y-pipe is strait foward, if ur not keeping anything, just cut it all off with a die grinder, after that its the exhaust manifolds

i decided to change my engine mounts since a wuz there, if u decide to do that 2, add an hour of work, unless u have all the right tools, half-hour
3 bolts for each mount, theres nuts holding the bolts down, wich are inside the front subframe, look where the the lower controle arms bolt the subframe

jack the engine up a few inches, if u r planning on giving ur car a tune up
nows the time, make sure the plug wires u get are not strait plug, they will rub on the headers, the driver manifold is easy to get out, if not use the torch
dont worry its all cast iron, a torch wil get everything out, now all that is left is the pass. side manifold, this one is a pita, there a **** load of things in the way, removed the air pump module, pop the cover there is 2 connectors, then follow the pipe to the air pump, remove 2 screws and remove the hole assembley, now if u have a/c u dont have to remove the canister it will just be in the way, u wont have much room on the pass. side, oh yeah i have a tbi forgot to say, anyhow, removed ur plugs, if u care about ur plugs get them out before u remove ur manifolds, clean ur head with some sand paper
dont have to go crazy, now if u got heddman, they supply u with everything, to get the driver side header in go from up top, i hope ur engine is jacked or else nothing will fit, bolt in ur header with the gasket, 6 bolts, the pass. side header went in from under, there is a coolant pipe sitting flush on the body, this pipe for me was corroded, and as i installed my header cracked the pipe
when putting it in, it really is a tight fit, if u have the same problem ul cut the pipe where the t part of it ends and at the rear of the engine and route a rubber hose around, for me the driver side header was rubbing the brake lines, just bend them out of the way, dont kink them ur f***ed, more work, drop the engine, hook up ur mounts, connecting ur y-pipe is strait foward, now if u dont wanna run a cat like me get urself ur cat back first, i got the flowmaster american thunder 3", heddman gives u an adapter wich makes the y-pipe go from 2 1/2 to 3 inch, flowmaster has the pipe with an open lip with a flange, take the adapter and and flowmaster pipe with the lip and flange go to ur local muffler shop, bye a 2 foot long ( 24 inches ) 3" pipe and tell them to mate it to ur pipes, they might give u a donut or whatever, the flowmaster cat back is very easy to install, both heddman and flowmaster give crappy *** clamps, they work failry well but the crimp metal, wich makes it hard to remove in the future, try to get the sleeve clamps wich have 2 bolts, they work very well, if u have damaged hangers get urself 16 gauge maluable wire to loom around ur exhaust whats left of ur hnagers, thats pretty much it if u can do this on a lift its much easier then on the floor, take ur time take 2 days if u need the end result is very nice, i'm going to get sound clips soon dont have a good camera, when i do, u will have an idea of what a stock tbi will sound like with heddman headers no cat and a 3" flowmaster cat back
intill then wich will be soon i hope

This would be helpful and an all around good article but i gave up after a couple of sentence due to you not being able to use basic language skills. Learn some basic punctuation and you will go alot further in life.....

I'm not being a dickhole, but if someone such as him is trying to be helpful and has good intentions in heart, he should take the time to make it legiable to where someone looking to install hedmans, such as me, would be able to read it without getting a headache. Watch that loose flapping jaw or some day you will get it knocked off.
