Muffler Removal & Exhaust Alignment
My muffler is attached to the pipe going to the cat via a clamp. Is there a method you kind folks would suggest that would separate the apparently seized pipe from the muffler without damaging anything?
My goal is to get the... "I" Pipe? (Pipe running from cat to muffler) reattached to the cat. It's having trouble getting aligned because the exhaust as a whole will not go into it's passenger side mount. I've only recently read up on what a pain it is at this section of the exhaust, but like I said in my previous threads it was not me who actually did the deconstruction of a perfectly working exhaust system.
When I try to put the muffler + pipe attached in its proper position (again, hanger on the passenger side), the pipe hits on the cat.
Any help would be appreciated. And no, I do not detect any welds on the muffler connection.
Thanks.
