Duals and Chambered Mufflers
I have a 383 Stroker
round about 400 horses
I wanted to know - the pipe that runs up and over the rear axle is that part available at summit without buying the rest of the mid pipe... im trying to go duals like Willie did but not sure on all the pipe sizes i need.. though maybe going with them would be a good start. any suggestions
2nd - On the chambered mufflers, hows the sound,,, with this engine do I want to be running 2 1/2 or 3 in back.

I can't help you out yet, but I'm currently in the process of doing dual 3" over the axle with 3" chambered rounds. I had to order the mufflers to custom length, so I'm just waiting on them now...should be about 1 more week, then it's off to the exhaust shop. I was lucky to have one of the only (if not the only) exhaust guy with a mandrel bender about an hour from me. I'm also running a 383 with ~530hp at the crank hopefully around 550+ after it gets tuned with the FI.

HOWDY FELLOW F-BODY BROTHERS!! Does anybody have a good picture of a DUAL-EXHAUST setup?? And what's better about chambered mufflers vs. standard (flowmaster 40's, etc.). I know this ain't exactly related, but what's better about shorty vs. long tube headers? Thanks a MILLION!

With a welder the easiest way to make the over the axels w/o buying a kit would be 2 - 45 degree bends a 90 degree bend and some straight pipe. Fab that up take a few hours and yull be just as well off.
PS I'm thinking doing a similar setup like that but somehow using original 40 series flowmasters or hushpowers...

Willie's setup looks like the BOMB BABYY!! What's the difference in CHAMBERED vs. other like Flowmaster 40's, etc.? ALSO, what's better about long-tube vs. shorty? What's the difference in sound quality? (I know that's off the subject bust since we're talkin exhaust I just threw that in for a bonus!) Thanks a MILLION!
