I think it's been discussed before but...

Headers, 3" magnaflow cat, 3" pipe with bullet muffler, something like a Loudmouth system with dual tips. How would this sound on a 305? I know Urdbanhunter has something like this, but....man, I'm caught between just running a single exit with the bullet where the muffler goes rather than spend the extra cash on the setup mentioned.

I think it would sound just fine imo. I've always thought tips look wierd just coming out of the right side. the SLP 2OTL doesn't look bad, but it would look wierd on the right. Have you thought about just dumping it back there?

yeah my setup on my '94 (sold though) was no cats and a bullet with custom dual tips. Sounded mean as hell. I think my LTs, no cats and magnaflow sound even better though on my '97

The bullet muffler setup is an excellent way to just get that RAW tone! If you're looking for that, the bullet is your best choice

If I was to use the single exit, it would be tucked up high and painted black so as not to stick out. No tips for just a single exit. It seems I will be going that route for the time being though, thanks for the replies guys.

If my car sounds anything like you're old bird Urban, I'll be happy

Ive got a 3" dynomax cat-back with a bullet and a single turndown. I think it sounds pretty good, but its pretty loud. I think you'll like it.

i'd think u would like it. it be very aggressive and loud.

another option is going with a chambered tube like i did. its another good sounding fairly cheap muffler. abit softer/quieter than a bullet but a good sound still. if you want it somewhat loud get a 16-18inch chambered tube

No, not yet. I'm not sure of the best to go about recording it.
