Anyone try to fit a second gen dual exhaust kit on a third gen?

Anyone try to fit a second gen dual exhaust kit on a third gen?
Wondering if it could be done. It would need to be cut and welded in some places but would it be easier to use a 2.5in kit from summit or jegs and fit it into the thirdgen or just but a bunch of mandrel bends and go nutz? Mainly looking fo an easy way over the rear axle. Gonna use Bullets for the mufflers.

The rear suspension is so different on a 2nd gen that I doubt you'd really find much benefit from starting with that kit instead of a generic kit.
