exhaust gasket material??

exhaust gasket material??
Just wondering...
Anyone know what exhaust gaskets are made of (besides the copper ones)? Are they asbestos and are they dangerous to scrape off?

A small exposure to asbestos won't hurt you. Although i don't know what their made of you should be safe.

You have to either ingest or inhale asbestos in more than miniscule amounts for it to cause any harm. Your fine.

Just don't lick up what you scrape off.
