2.8 Muffler help?
2.8 Muffler help?
Aftermarket mufflers for the 2.8 have sort of been addressed on other threads---But I'm currently really short on money, since I keep buyin' cars. My new '85 5-speed has a hole in the side of the stock muffler, at least, maybe more. Is there a way to make is sound a bit meaner, inexpensively, without it sounding like sounding like a teeniebopper Honda, or the Waterboy on his riding mower? Perhaps adding a Y behind the cat and two small mufflers of some sort?

Same car with a Flow 80 series

it now has a built 3400 with the same exhaust so it's alot louder in the upper RPM's. I'll have headers and all 2.5" mandrel pipe soon so who knows how loud it'll be then...

I actually have a V-Force (clone of a flowmaster 40) for sale.. PM me if you're interrested
