Had a problem with my Hedman LTs

Well the driversside went in in 30min. The passengerside was a beast. The bolts looked like this "rear O__o____O__|__\___/__\ front" the big Os being ones that went in correctly, and the \ / are ones that went in crucked, o has no bolt in it, couldnt get it to start. I only got in the \ /'s in far enough to see that they were not going to go instrait. I pulled the header, and checked the threads with a bolt, and I no wcouldnt get them to cross thread, so I chased the threads, and they seem to be just fine.

Well if thats too consusing, it seemsed like the outer two primairies had the bolt holes too far away, I touched up the holes a bit with a diegrinder, and that seemed to fix the problem, They now bolt up to a set of heads out of the car, so tomorrow Ill find out if they work in car.

Did anyone have problems with overheating to starter after installing these headers?

I didnt install LT's but did installed Jet-Hot coated Hedman shorties and Y pipe. They were close enough to my starter to saturate it well enough to prevent a restart after the install. Ended up swapping out the OE starter with a mini. Works fine now, plenty of air space for the starter.

Ill see how my starter does, one primary is very close to the front of it, but there is atleast a inch around the rest of it.

Well I got the header intoday with no problems, except the bolt thats the second from the front was still wanting to go in cruked. Looks like its hitting the primary, and thats not letting it go in. I cut the washer part off of the bolt, and it the one that has the 3/8ths head already, so its pretty small. I might try a allen head tomorrow.
