Flowmaster questions: delta, super, 40 and 50 series..??

hi i am looking into putting midlenght headman headers with a y pipe and 3" pipe to the muffler on my carbed 305 firebird and i was looking at a cheaper but still ok muffler to go on it.

could someone explain the differences between the flowmaster mufflers? theres the 40 series, the 50 series, origanal, delta flow, and super .... and they dont really explain what the differences are. are some better for power or loudness? is there any kind that i shouldnt get even if its cheap? also does my idea for the exaust setup sound ok, all ive got is an edlebrock 750 carb and accell ignition and after the exaust i will be done with modding. im still debating to go with a high flow cat or none at all but i leaning towards staying legal

They all have diffrent sound. You can go to the flowmaster website and listen to each one. The super 40 flows the best.

I started out with Delta 50's with hedman headers and 2 1/2" exhaust and when going up hill, the radio was useless and they were close to giving us headaches. Switch to Delta 70's with a built in resonator. Still sound great, but do not have the drone the others did.
