Headers

Trying to figure out which headers will fit with my 88 iroc, i was looking on Jeg's at Hooker but I'm unsure which one I'd need. I plan on getting the headers and going to a muffler shop, dropping the car off after hours and having them run true dual exhaust with no cats, maybe X pipe configuration. Just need to see which headers would be best for me at the best bargain but still giving the performance I want.

What are you looking for? Full lenght or shorties? Coated on non? Emissions legal or off road (air pipe delete)?

still deciding on full length or shorties or not, down in florida they don't really check for emissions, the shop just asks that i drop it off and pick it up after hours because it's still illegal. someone told me though that after spending $600 on this i'd probably only get a 20 HP boost, so I'm better off getting 3.73's and a cam as well for max performance.

What kind of gears do you have now? Is the rear end a 9 or 10 bolt?

Before you go the cam route, the exhaust side should be addressed first.

quickest cheapest way to getheads on these car sis to use a set of regular old low priced long tubes and get a pair of the S curved extensions from summit racing pop them on the collectors of the headers and run straight pipe length however far back and a pair of 20 dollar turbo mufflers at the local auto part store

real simple and it works great

a few members on here did it this way, theres pics floating around
