dynomax ultra flo x muffler

Has anyone tried this muffler? I'm just wondering if it will save space. Maybe put it where the cat would go.

Dynomax is awsome, I swear by them, its the only exhuast I will ever put on my cars unless I make 70k a year.

They are verry stock sounding but they flow awsome!!!

Interesting that I saw this tonight. We just welded one up for my car tonight. I will put it on tomorrow and see how it sounds. I am running dual 3" exhaust with Moroso spiral flow 'mufflers' and it is a bit loud. Hopefully this will mellow it out a bit.

Put it up where the cats used to be. It is a bit long but not much more height than the 3" pipes themselves.

The drawback to that style muffler is that the "absorption" material eventually deteriorates and then it is VERY loud. Like the old glasspacks. Same principal.

Well you may be right but 'very loud' is relative and this dynomax really mellowed out the sound. I frankly didn't think I could get dual 3" pipes this mellow.

Got the exhaust back on Thursday night. I'll post a pic. Don't have any good recording equipment but I'll try to take the laptop out to get a soundclip later. Mine might be a little different sound with the moroso's still on the car too.

Have you had a chance to record a sound clip yet? Using the X-flo where the CAT should be is the exact system I was thinking about building.
