how does this sound?
i went to camaro specailties today. they have a 1984 z28 shell there, still has the exuast. L69 Y pipe, cat converter, flowmaster catback 3", all components are used but still in good healthy condition. he wants 150 bucks for all, at my parents house i have a set of cast iron L69 exuast manifolds. so for 150 bucks i will have an exuast that is much better than the 2-1/4" stock RS 305 exuast that currently plagues my car. i think it sounds like a good deal and im going for it. one strange thing i did notice that the flowmaster mounted on the car has both outlet pipes on the same side. this will work but i just think it looks strange.

IMHO, if you are going to all the trouble to swap stock exhaust manifolds, can you find some headers that will connect to the system for a reasonable price?. When I replaced my exhaust system, the most trouble I had was removing the stock manifolds. This took me the longest time of the whole system replacement. As far as the Flowmaster muffler, you could go to their website and find out more about it.

the L69 manifolds are in my stepfather's parts collection they are already off of his car so all i have to do is mount them on my car. im going with these becuase thats what i can afford. i already have the manifolds and they will breath much better than what i have now, i hope.my stepfather told me if i bought headers it will cost me 3-400 bucks that i dont have, he said only buy ceramic coated and they are not cheap. im only making 380 bucks a week and im trying to make do with what i have, i know i want something that breaths better but im doing what i can afford. what question was though, is this a good deal?
