Carb Adjust?

i'm going to be installing hooker 2055's and Borla Cat-Back on my LG4 camaro...not sure if this is a silly question or not, but am i going to have to make any adjustments to my fuel due to the less restricted air flow? or should it run fine as is?

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org!

If this is the typical non-computer-controlled Canadian-delivered LG4, then you may have to up the jet size slightly. Most likely, it will be just fine. The secondaries are more likely to be lean than the primaries, a simple rod change, and possibly hanger, will take care of that. First you need to run it and see how it does after the headers are installed.

Have you done anything with the stock air cleaner? It's as much of a restriction as the exhaust. A dual snorkel air cleaner (either fabricated, or factory style) will complement your headers nicely.

An open element, or a filter in the stock air cleaner housing?

(If I'm not careful, I'm going to let my anti-K&N opinions come to the surface again, so I'll just leave it at that question.)

Just the filter.

going open element once i decide to put a cowl hood on, possibly never. until then, Ultimate TBI mods.

as a side note, I remember seeing pictures of a camaro race car with open hood louvres that faced the opposite direction (forcing air in). any links to those pictures would be great, been thinking of doing that instead of cowl hood.

Pick up a dual snorkle or make one up. If you look around the site, you will see that alot recomend them to be better than a open element. Unless you run a cowl hood, and seal the aircleaner to the cowl only.

Right now its the single inlet cleaner thats going to restrict air flow.
