Question on AIR hook ups and Y pipe
Question on AIR hook ups and Y pipe
Hi guys i just got a used exhaust off a buddys camaro and i have a few questions. 1 is the headers are shorty headers coated in ceramic or jet coating they have the o2 sensor bung but no hook ups for the air tubes. now in my area we dont have smog test and the old owner gutted the cat. so my question is will the air tubes be ok to just leave unhooked or will they make nasty hissing sounds? id like to leave them in incase some day they are required. next question is they fabricated a Y pipe out of very small and crappy parts does any one make a bolt on system to go between the headers and the cat back 3 inch edelbrock rpm system?

there is a sticky on the exhaust page for your AIR question. As far as the Y pipe. What kind of headers are they? Lots of aftermarket vendors make Y pipes. Try the ones on the left---->
Can try Jegs and Summit also.
