Y Pipe questions

So I broke part of my Y pipe since it brittle on the end and now it's too narrow at the end that it slips out of the bracket to connect to the header.

With only one header hooked up and a broken cat hanger, it's too low to drive now.

My questions is, I have a pair of shorty headers, but I think the rest is stock. Is it possible that the Y pipe is stock too? Could I just buy another Y pipe that's from a stock setup then?

they need to be matched with the headers. You cant stick just anything on and expect it to bolt up.

So the Y pipe isn't stock

What are my options here? How much would an exhaust shop charge to get a Y pipe done?

Is there any type of joint or clamp that would put a flair back on the Y pipe to hook up to my header? The flair on mine is broken and just looking for a cheap fix now before I replace it all.

You need a friend with a welder. Anything metal is fixable. My header flanges were rusted out and they don't go on easy once the pipe is flanged. I had to cut them in half and weld them back. but I used two flanges this time and over laped them for a thick flange.

Other wise the Y pipe would need cut and re flanged.

Once ya get a welder, ya won't know how you lived without one.

Ok here is a cheap hooptie fix.

Put the flange clamp back on the pipe, The use a hack saw to cut even depth cut in the pipe. Then bend up the little tabs. Then use a bunch of 15min quick jbweld to seal it back together. Gotta use quick, reg will run and drip.

Or something similar. Goop jbweld on a pipe and jam it in that pipe.
Now that I got a welder I don't have them problems. But JB weld works good on exhaust stuff, I never liked using clamps that deformed stuff. Just gotta use the quick jb weld.
