Stubborn Y-pipe

Hey guys, Im doing a oil pan swap on my L98 car,
and Its required that I drop the Y-pipe for clearance.

During the operation, I un-bolted the flanges and I
thought the Y-pipe would come crashing down on me
...tho I wish it did

I have Hedman shorties/ w The Y-pipe and ball/socket fittings.. And I cant get the Y-pipe to free up and drop to ground, Im only 20 yrs old and weigh 160lbs.. I cant get enuff leverage to break the sealed fittings.. And I definately dont wanna damage my new headers or Y-pipe..

Im irritated, anyone have any tips/suggestions?

If its rusted on there usually the simplest thing is to heat it with a torch evenly and give it a shot( itll be freeeking hot so use gloves and safety **** u dont wanna get burned), of course im sure a prybar would get the job done with enough wd-40 but.. dont wanna damage the flange lol

I think the thing is.. Its a brand new system, Paint is still prevelant on the headers and y-pipe.

I should have removed the paint on the sockets, So they wouldnt fuse together.. Now Im stuck battling a simple operation of removing a pipe.

Ill try to get some penetrating fluild up in there
and let it sit.. But I really dont want to pound my $500.00 exhaust system.. Its brand new, with no less than 10 miles on the motor/exhaust alone..

..then I damaged my pan like a fool

Rubber hammer or dead blow hammer on a cool exhaust.

Yep, It was the paint causing it to stick together..
With alittle tough love, it came off just fine, and the
pan has been removed/replaced.

Thanks for the suggestions
