I have the factory exhuast with dual cats on a 92 Z28. Will the dynomax 3" intermediate pipe (part#s 43248, 44063) work on my car?

 

Dude, we have dual cats and if we wanna keep them that way the aftermarket wants nothing to do with us.

 

There are some options for dual cat set ups but it is much more limited than say a single cat or cat delete.

 

I'm looking for something with a 3 inch intermediate pipe and a muffler that is louder than stock, but not obnoxious like a Flowmaster.

 

The Dynomax is definetly quieter than a Flowmaster. As for fitment I am not exactly sure but I am going to say it should work, you may have to do some fabrication but dont quote me on that. This is my first Camaro I am dorking with myself.

 

what is the advantage of dual cats anyways? does it lower emmisions?

 

Freer flowing exhaust equals more potential horsepower.

 

Apparently on the stock exhaust its flowed better then the regular single cat exhaust thus giving like 5 or 10 extra ponies... suposedly anyways. Personally im just going to get a TSP rumbler and a 3" Flowmaster Y to adapt it to the Dual Cats. I'm lost on what to use for a Dual Cat Y-pipe off of the headers though. Everything i see is only 2.25in dia. which sucks needs to be 2.5 i think.
