Is this possible?
Hey there first day as a member, but been on this site alot since i bought my first F-body in august!!! =) I have been pondering thoughts on how i want to set my baby up, I dont have a great source of funds. But want the best result for buck as everyone does. I liked the sound of the LS1's SLP loudmouth exaust and was wondering if i could cut my cat out and put the SLP loudmouth muffler where the cat is then run straight pipes back out? any idea on how that would sound? Cause that seems to be how the SLP setup looks to me... thanks all any words of advice would be greatly appreciated
this is the muffler eliminator setup i was thinking of running

Like said above, you might as well just drive a cork into the tailpipe and call it a day. It would probably sound like the exhaust leak from hell. Thats one of the worst exhausts Ive ever seen. Even worse then teh full walker exhaust I stuck on my dads buick centry to get it through inspection. At least that was quiet and sounds ok.
If you want better sound get a muffler from hooker, flowmaster, etc. and replace the factory piece. Dont put it where the cat is. Better place would be back where the muffler is currently.
