Need to have a Y-pipe made

I finally have my exhaust coming.
I was going to try to replicate what willie did on his vert with true duals, but I am chomping at the bit to get this car on the street.
So I ordered the Flowmaster 3" Cat-back to at least get me started.
I have the 2210's with an 02 bung and I need a y-pipe made. I can't weld for crap. I was thinking of going to get some flexible exhaust tubing to mock up the shape of the y-pipe to take to an exhaust shop so I don't have to go through the pain of having the car on a flat-bed to the exhaust shop.
I figured since I an running no cat, i figured this may lead to less suprises once I get there. Any shops ever tell any of you guys they can't build a y-pipe to bypass a cat before when you have delivered your car to them?

Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
well most shops I have used legally cant build you an exhaust without one. Not sayng that they wont, but thatnks to the EPA, if your car is a certain year or newer they are supposed to put one on.

Simple workaround.... Have them make you a test pipe. this is a section of pipe the same size as your cat would be, and with flanges on it so that you can unbolt your Cat and bolt on the test pipe whenever you go to the track. Mind you this is a simple legal workaround for you if all your local shops wont install the catless system for you. But you might get lucky and thye wont worry about it.

I didn't think about an angle like that. That is a good idea. We don't have smog testing here where I live, so it may be a mute point anyway.
I just know we are not supposed to remove cats, so I figured there would be a chance a shop may frown upon what I am trying to do. Especially if I drove it away after they finished the work.
Thanks,

good luck man.

i have the 2210's and tried the mufflex ypipe years back, sold it and ended up having a cheap true dual setup made in the meantime.

muffler shop didnt mind the fact that my car was not smog legal...but I knew them previously.
