quietest race muffler
I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on their experience in quiet race mufflers. On my old 3 inch system I used Dynomax race bullets. With the new 3.5 oval dual exhaust I am looking for a quiet rumble which will not hamper the engines output. I can go back to to the bullets but I rather try something quieter at my old age of 33.
Any feedback would be great. I am not too worried on price for each muffler and since i have 3.5 oval to round transitions, I can use basically any muffler I want to.
Thanks, Jim

Wow, someone who actually makes some sense!
Have you seen that old muffler test comparing dB & dyno horses? The double winner was the Borla XS - lowest dB and highest HP.
I don't see them listing an "XS" anymore. Not sure if the "ProXS" is the same thing or not.

No, I haven't seen that muffler shootout. I was hoping someone here would have some experience since this a national board. Locally, I know I wouldn't get a response because most don't have a 3rd gen like mine. I'll look into the XS's or the Pro XS's.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exha...le-single.html Thread #6 has the dB chart.
(The testing was done on a ~300 RWHP 'Stang on a chassis dyno; headers, dual exhaust, 3" in/out mufflers.)
