wierd sound

hey
i got ran off the road the other day by some db, which made me drift over into a ditch and right before i came back up to the road i bottomed out like crazy. now, i have this wierd ticking sound when i am driving. its mainly noticable with the windows down, and i have noticed it only is making the sound when above 2000 rpm's and driving. i cant hear it just by revving the engine though. i think it put a dent in the cat. is this sound an exhaust leak or something else?
thanks

Re: wierd sound

Tough to say by not hearing it. I would crawl under and look for something either you picked up off the ground and stuck somewhere of maybe a torn heat shield.

I'd say exhaust leak for sure. If not, then I imagine something came loose underneath the car. But most likely something hit your exhaust and made a small leak. The only way to make sure is to get under it when it's running.
