Looking for Header or Manifold advice, what should I do?
I have a 89 camaro iroc-z with a 350, banks y-pipe, banks cat back, 180* thermostat, low temp fan switch, holley foil, and K&Ns. The car has 33000 miles and I regularly take it to car shows but never really race it. I got such a good deal on some hooker 2055HKRs that I couldnt pass it up. Should I install them and lose the factory underhood look or keep my factory manifolds? I still like having more power, approxamently how much of a power gain could I expect as that may help with my decision?

The 2055's dropped .4 off my quarter mile, and I gained 2 mph. I could tell a big difference. In my opinion, some nice headers look MUCH better than rust colored log manifolds.

Thank you for the advice. 4 tenths on a nearly stock motor, wow. Does anyone else have any input. Have your headers developed any rust at all? What did you use for gaskets/bolts?

Headers make that much of an improvement? I wonder how much that combined with a good cat-back would shave. six to seven tenths?
