they are basically the same. The main difference is how they attach to the cat. You need to use a thirdgen style set up to bolt up to the single cat exhaust which will likely mean cutting and welding the front of the I pipe. If you have dual cats it might be a little easier.
I have a 4th gen LT1 exhaust going on my 88 Camaro.

Only in the way that it mates to the cat. You will likely have to cut that off and fab up a new connection to your existing cat. The single cat LT1 cat-backs will get you closer but the dual cat LT1 cars and or LS1 cat-backs will require a little more fab work at the end of the I-pipe. Either way you are looking at a little cutting and welding.

I have a [URL="http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=195&catid=46"]Texas Speed & Performance Rumbler cat-back/URL] system on my GTA. The previous owner had it put on, and said it cost him more to modify it to fit, than it cost him to buy it!
Dunno what the problems were, but I have noticed different hangers, than the ones in the pics on the web site. I suspect they had to cut the original ones off the exhaust, and make new ones, besides the cat connection. Which was a brand-new cat installed at the same time, so they weren't just trying to do a direct fit, but had a little room to play with & tweak.
