http://aeroexhaust.com/aero_stealth_248.html. It has a x-pipe design on the inside, would anyone concern it for a true dual exhaust setup?

Interesting concept, eh?
Only issue is where to mount it. In order for an X pipe to be effective, it needs to be mounted pretty close to long tube collectors, like 18" or so from the headers. Not easy to do in a 3rd gen.
I considered one for the '57, came to the same conclusion - mounting location is the issue.

Not much effect of the "X" in the stock muffler position. But, it shouldn't hurt anything.
So you're running dual 3" after the cats back to the muffler in the stock position?
