opinions on my exhaust

i have done a lot of research on exhaust the past year or so and i think i finally have a decent setup. as soon as the money comes in, i have decided that i am going to get Hooker 2210 LT's, Mufflex y-pipe, magnaflow 3in in/out cat, and Flowmaster 3in catback. do you think that this will be a good setup for me over stock? is there anything i have left out that i will need when i install this?

thanks, Justin.

Re: opinions on my exhaust

I wouldn't run the blowmaster catback, run either the magnaflow or something else of your choice.

Re: opinions on my exhaust

I am running stock manifolds/y-pipe to Magnaflow (carsound) direct fit cat, 3" catback, magnaflow muffler and turn down tailpipes. It sounds pretty badass even with the stock manifolds. Its by no means loud, especially when your in the car. It sounds very refined and throaty, but not really loud..unless you get it above 3k RPM. I highly recommend it.

And Magnaflow doesn't make a kit for our cars for some reason. If you want to run a magnaflow muffler you have 3 options: get the LT1 kit and you'll have to tinker around with it to get it to fit properly on a third gen, just buy the muffler from the LT1 kit and have it put into your exhaust by an exhaust shop via a custom job... What i did was order 3" dynomax intermediate pipes from summit that are meant for our cars and then bought the muffler seperately. Everything fit together like they all came in the same kit. I took it to an exhaust shop but im sure you could do it yourself because it all fits perfectly.
