whats the average horse power gain from going from stock exhaust to long tub headers and dual 2 1/2 inch flowmaster exhaust

Conventional wisdom says around 10%. Depends upon how bad what you've got really is.

Stock TBI 305? It isn't going to help much. You'll need your O2 sensor if still TBI.
It's really hard to answer questions like this without knowing exactly what you've got. If you have a 500 horse 434 CID fire-breather, then a stock 2-1/4" TBI exhaust is going to choke it to death and your longtubes & duals will do it wonders. But, the stock TBI exhaust isn't all that bad on a stock TBI engine - not great, understand, but it won't make as much difference as it would with that imaginary 434.
