Catbacks for 1992 models?

I tried doing a search but searching "92" or "1992" doesnt really work and I'm at a loss to think of a better keyword which is frustrating since it must have been addressed a million times. So how come all the catbacks seem to say things like "86-91". What did they change in 92? Will I be able to use an "86-91" catback on my 92 model?

For the RS models, no difference '88-'92.

From www.summitracing.com :

WLK-17493
HOK-16820HKR
WLK-17391
PSM-86-2814

On the other hand, you need to ask yourself if you want a cat-back that "fits" your car. The '86-'90 TPI single cat application systems are 3" intermediate pipe, and will be the "good" stuff, when you're done spending your $5k.

Re: Catbacks for 1992 models?

I've got a long term project with an engine swap planned. I'm gonna have some Hooker 2055's(and y-pipe), just trying to figure out what catback I'm gonna run with them. Since the y pipe is 3 inches I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna stay with a 3 inch pipe all the way back.

Exactly.

If you need a cat, get a direct-fit for the '86-'90 TPI single cat application, such as the Catco 9118.

The only thing that is different as far as the chassis is concerned are some minor hanger differences.
