My car decided to make its own straight pipes lol

So my car decided it wanted its own straight pipes. The exhaust on my 88 camaro decided it wanted to rust apart right after the cat. So now it has a real nice sound of straight pipes, but now before i get pulled over by the cops in my stupid town i have to go and have a new exhaust put on. I was looking at the stickys that someone had made (sorry i forget there name) but i was looking at the prices and i have never looked at exhaust prices before and are they really that expencive?? If they really r that much i think i'll just get a custom one put on, cuz there r 2 really popular shops around me that do custom ones for 500.

Basically the point of this ramble is to ask are exhausts really that expencive for our cars?

Ebay will give you a good idea on already made kits. But some of them dont come with cats. I would just ask around and see what you can afford and what you want.

If you are going to keep and drive your car for more than 2 years, seriously consider the stainless.
