Dynomax 2.5" I-pipe to 3.0" I-Pipe

Right now I have the Dynomax (I think its WLK - 17493) 2.5" cat-back with muffler. I want to upgrade to Intermediate Pipe to 3". Will a 3 Inch pipe slip right over the muffler 'ports' or will i need to get a new muffler to accomodate the larger I-Pipe. Thanks.

It will 'slip over' with a quarter inch of room around the mufflers input. What you COULD do is cut off the inlet on the muffler, and cut out a 3" hole to match and then weld your new 3" I pipe to your muffler with a fresh cut 3" hole.

They make flares, shops can usually make anything work usually if they are good.

This is true too, but I know that the I pipe comes to an abrupt turn to the inlet of the muffler, so would there even be room for it?

I really don't understand what you're saying...if the 3" I-Pipe will slip over with room, then why would i need to do any cutting or welding?...is the diameter of the muffler port 3" ?
