Anyone know if MACs third gen catback is anygood? It cost alittle more than a flowmaster american thunder cat back... Ive heard MAC sounds "thunderous" on Stangs. Clips would be great.

my buddy has a headers back MAC system on his 90 Mustang LX 5.0 and i wasnt too impressed.

It was a dual 2.5 inch and it sounded like ish until he put SLP bullets on it and it still only sounds goot at WOT. I have a single 3 inch cat back with a deleted muffler and stock manifold and im louder than him.

So thats my 2 cents,spend them however u wish

 

Thanks for the input man. Ive started to research other catbacks and i found a brand i like called "pypes". U can mix and match different mufflers and tips, it seems like a really cool company and it is driving distance from me. If that falls through theres always flowmaster...

but ya flowmaster is good...i have the american thunder kit and i like it...and u can even go on flowmaster.com and find replacement muffler for that kit...they just came out with the Super 44 series muffler thats supposed to be pretty sick
