Ok Heres the deal I have a 1992 Firebird 3.1L with pacesetter 2.8L headers on it. The EGR hook up broke off the header so we rewelded it 3 times. Its back off again. Is there anyway I can fix this. The headers are exactly a year old. Do I need to replace the passenger side header. or can I weld up the hole where the egr is and leave the egr hanging.

Re: V6 Header problem
Research the headaches and problems with EGR delete and decide for yourself

As for the breaking... pick a different welder

I can't claim full familiarity with 3rd gen V6's, but aren't those tubes for the A.I.R. system, not the EGR?

Re: V6 Header problem
2.8/3.1 has a tube for EGR and some also had AIR injection

The EGR tube is significantly thicker and made of steel tubing and welded onto the primary

Re: V6 Header problem
Well If I can find my reciet pacesetter will send me a new passenger side header because its under warranty because of the defect in the metal.
