there is no such thing as a dual exhaust for these cars, you cant buy one. If you want a dual exhaust, it will have to be custom made, and ground clearance is an issue. headers available, headman, hooker, dougs, ect

Re: best exhaust with 5 speed
Holy ****, your only 15 and have already built a motor? And a 383 at that! Isnt a 4.75 rotating assembly like $2,000? I couldnt imagine trying to do heads or even an intake manifold and I am 19! Good job!
On another note, I dont know what the laws are where you are from, but if you are doing longtubes, the most popular way is to run a 2.5" pipe off each reducer, tucked up in the tunnel kinda on either side of the motor and tranny, then your mufflers, then turndowns to dump before the axle.

Re: best exhaust with 5 speed
I would use dual 2.5" instead of dual 3". You won't be making enough power (I'm guessing 400ish) to need dual 3". My dad just built a stroker 383 with a scat crankshaft, vortec heads, comp cams camshaft (230/236 @.050), 10:1 compression and the 2.5" duals are plenty big. We dynoed my dad's engine with a smaller cam (a little bit more duration that the one you are running) and it made 384hp at 5200 rpm. I have a feeling your engine will peak out at about the same rpm. A camshaft with more duration would make more top end power if you want to sacrifice a little low end torque. I would also recommend going with a holley or edelbrock carb instead of the Q-jet, with at least 650 cfm. Also, vortec heads didn't come out until 1996, so if the block is from 1991, it's not a vortec block, although it should have the provisions for the roller lifters. Good luck with the engine and make sure you know how to properly break it in (if it hasn't already been run in).
