4 bolt Cat on 305 TPI
My 85 T/A has a 305 with TPI and a 4 bolt cat, is this correct? from everything I read a 4 bolt cat is on a carb engine or was GM just using what ever they had? The y pipe looks fairly large, is it a keeper?
Thanks,
Bill

The '85 TPI cat itself was the same as the L69 - not a bad piece.
Overall, one of the better factory exhaust systems offered.

Considering the Y you would have had with the LG4, yes, it's a keeper. Note the difference in the following pic:

Is it worth reusing with a set of headers or get the complete package of headers and y pipe?
