I have a 1987 IROC Z28 305 TPI

I found a 1LE to buy the seller said was a optional for the 86-90 305
Right now I have a 305 but I bought a L98+tranny from a 1987 vette.
I am installing that this winter....

My first question is....

That will fit my L98 or just 305?

is it worth it to intall this 1LE? (dual cat) or better go to a strait pipe?

I right now I have 3" pipe + flowmaster in my car....can I keep it or is better go bigger?

The exhaust doesn't care if it's on a 305 or 350. The dual cats flow slightly better than single factory cat. Whether it's worth it over a modern high-flow single 3" cat is debatable. The 3" cat-back is more than adequate for a stock L98.

Hooker 2055HKR headers with their excellent y-pipe, a direct-fit high-flow cat, and 3" cat-back will do quite well on an L98.

 

The parts that you indicate to me will work out if I'll give a upgrade in this engine but I am not sure how much.....should I use the same parts? or need to go a little higher ....
