New exhaust: Hooker 2210s and powersticks?
im thinking about running true duals on my 89 iroc. I was thinking about getting some hooker 2210s. Is the ceramic really worth all the extra dough?? Jet hot has em for 700+ shipping right now, and I know they are 400 shipped through jegs for painted. So thats like a 350 dollar difference.
So if i put the 2210s in, then I need the s- extensions, right? Then weld in an H pipe. Then I was thinking about putting in some powersticks. What are the longest ones I could get? I want this exhaust to be loud but not insanely loud, I know LT's and 16" powersticks are going to be unbearable. I was thinking like either 20" or 26" (3" exhaust). Then id have an exhaust shop do the tail pipes.
Do I need to get the 3-wire o2 sensor also?
What do you guys think about this, ive seen pics of one guy on here that did it sort of like that, I was going to weld everything myself.. I dont think ill have clearance issues with stock ride height.. Shouldnt be too hard right?

Re: New exhaust: Hooker 2210s and powersticks?
I will go for 2210's also this winter.
2 options
1- cut the frame like Craig moates did and route the exhaust round the tranny crossmember.
2- Make a new tranny crossmember like some members here did.
If you have a TH700 I would go with nbr 2. My problem is I will swap to a 4L80E so I dont know how that will affect my possibilities to change my crossmember.
I can post some pictures later if you dont find any...
And a 3-wire O2 is recommended.

Wait, what cut the frame, new crossmember?? I thought they were direct fit for our applications.. other people said they fit right in.. I have a mini starter and no A/C. Hooker says to jack the engine up 3" and they go right in??

they will go right in, but you need to do some grinding see the stickey from traxion up top.....(and maybe a ministarter)
To get ground clearence for the exhaust (not headers) its the options I wrote, search for some pictures you'll see what I mean.....
