hmmm... funny ticking noises.

alright, well, here tonight me and two of my friends (one of them pretty much know a camaro from top to bottom, has three camaros he rebuilt) we were driving around in my car, and he said that I have an exhaust leak some where up at the engine, cause it makes this weird ticking noises when its cold, and when it warms up, it doesnt do anymore (and I pretty much know that when a car gets warm enough, the metal of the exhaust expains (eh, sorry for my poor grammar)

has any one ever had this problem before?

me and him are gonna replace my headers.. I desided I was gonna go with some custom headers, I dont really feel like picking from two different brands, and find out it doesnt sound so good on my car.

and pretty much the topic is about, is has any one ever had this problem before? I pretty much know where to look for, and Im sure this is probly pretty pointless to read.

Yeah i looked under my hood one nite when it was ticking and i could actually see the spark from the spark plug. It blew over half the #6 clyinder gasket off.

O.o Huh.. that's something I wouldnt expect.. and sounds pretty dangerous with sparks coming off something so close to the headers..

Re: hmmm... funny ticking noises.

Mine was ticking, and I found out afterwards that I had lost 3 bolts on my passanger side manifold and 2 on the driver side were loose.

If you ever get custom headers, better make sure the flange is super thick.

Im thinking im just missing bolts, I havent checked it yet, its too cold out for me. I do plan on have thick flange, but what's the difference between the normal and the thick? my friend told me the same thing.
