Exhaust size on 305 TPI w/ dual cats

Exhaust size on 305 TPI w/ dual cats
I've recently scored a '91 Formula 305/5 spd WS6 dual cat G92 hardtop. The exhaust is nearly shot, so I'm in the market for a cat back system. I'm trying to figure out the exhaust size after the cats. Normally, I would just go out to the driveway and measure, but we've recently had a major snowstorm, so I figured I'd put up a post in hopes of an answer instead. A dude at Jeg's told me it was 2.5" from the cat back but I've read a few posts online that report 3". Various companies sell it either 2.5" or 3' for the 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. Can anyone verify?

Stock with a dual-cat setup it would be 2.75" but go with a 3" exhaust.
