are you looking for just a universal x-pipe, or one that will fit a thirdgen? cause you can find the latter

all of them will require fab work because none of our cars came with one. this one is 3" they also have 2.5"

just keep in mine, 3rd gen cars did not come with dual exhaust, so to have dual exhaust and use the x-pipe would be a total custom job

The reason there isn't an X-pipe for a third gen is the fact that all 3rd gens came with single exhaust, to actually use an x pipe you will need true dual exhaust, which as mentioned needs to be fabbed up custom and is a real pain in the **** to do, a good place to start is with a nice set of long tube headers. Try looking at this. They have great kits for our cars and they have a car well into the 9's with one of there kits. So unless its needed this might be a way to go.

Re: X pipe? anybody make them
i put one of those 3" universal xpipe kits on mine with headman longtubes, heaman 3" extensions, and turn downs, all custom by me and i get ppl asking me where i got my exhaust from all the time. havent heard a system on a third gen that will come close to the sound of a true dual with xpipe setup.
as said above to get one would require some skill and custom fab work. most shops wont do it on a third gen. depends on wat exactly u want.

This is what I'm installing on mine. The plan is to cutoff the Mufflex Y-Pipe and tie this in to a Flowmaster Y merge before the rear axle.

Re: X pipe? anybody make them
that kit doesnt look all that great for that price. the xpipe itself in that flowmaster setup is only connected at a very very small part. especially with a 3" system. a larger opening between the individual pipes will offer and perform much better. thats just for a tighter fit.
i would get a nice magna flow they are tight as well but offer way more flowing than that, its stainless and is only 100$ alot cheaper than the flowmaster one. u should have enough room for that where the cat goes.
it utilizes the straight in and straight out design, u wont have a prob with this if u can fabricate the pipes from the headers in and then out. just dont put an xpipe on a car that will go back into a single pipe or u will be defeating the purpose.
