Where Should The Bung Go?
I'm almost ready to order my short headers and Y. The last question I have before I do is where is the right place for the 02 sensor bung? On the shorty collector or on the Y pipe collector under the car just before the cat? Pipes are coated.

You want the O2 sensor to get as hot as possible - the hotter it gets, the more accurately it will work. Get it as close to the exhaust ports as you can. On a set of short tube headers, put it near the top of the collector, preferably in a spot BETWEEN two header tubes, not just in the stream of on tube.

bolt the header on the car before you mark where the hole is to be drilled.
chances are it will be in the wrong spot if not.
