magnaflow muffs? anyone got them

ive got a true dual set up on my 1985 trans am 2 1/2 oval exhaust pipe from a set of hooker headers all the way to over the rear axle. im gonna squese two muflers in the space next to the trunk well and the spair tire well, and the trunk well and the storage area. These mufflers part # 642-14827 will fit nicley....... well at least i think so. lol anyone use these or somthing simular? I would like to know what they sound like. and if anyone thinks it will look well wrong for the car. if i measured right they will tuck up nice and you should only see about an inch of the bottom and the tip.

Re: magnaflow muffs? anyone got them

i dont have true duals, but i do have a magnaflow muffler sound clips are in signature
----------
i looked at the muffler and its 2.25 in 4" out....sounds like it might be intended for imports.... so you want to downgrade your exhaust from dual 2.5's to dual 2.25?

I agree with the awesome flow that the Magnaflow has, but sound is opinionated. It doesnt sound like crap, but I was looking for the Magnaflow to hide my lopiness from my cam. It did a little bit but not as much as I would've liked. And since it doesnt hide it, I would like to change to Hooker Aerochamber

Re: magnaflow muffs? anyone got them

Well it seems as if i have got a reall problem. I was really hopen everyone agred on the magnaflow. lol Well i had a flow master on there and i like the way it sounded but it was going into a single inlet. My other problem is i only have enough room for a 8 inch wide muff, theres only 9 inches of space at the widest point. Well if anyone knows of any good sounding small sized mufflers, let me know. straight pipes are way too loud. lol Never thought i would say that.

Re: magnaflow muffs? anyone got them

Im thinking on going with the same set up on my street car, using the magnaflows. I have a magnaflow muffler now but im not true duals. I have the magnaflow catalog and they do make that muffler in 2.5. They go for about 60 bucks a piece.

Re: magnaflow muffs? anyone got them

I have a pair on my car and use them on every car I tune also thay will give you more HP. than the flowmaster. And my car has dual 3'' with an H pipe with the mufflers under the rear seats with turn downs.
